Our Policy Priorities

Since the Virginia Asian American and Pacific Islander Caucus (VAAPIC) launched in March 26, 2021, we have held listening sessions with diverse AAPI grassroots leaders, participated in roundtables with community leaders and met with constituents every year to shape our legislative priorities.

Our legislative agenda for 2024 addressed key priorities raised by the community during these conversations: expanding language access, safeguarding rights and inclusivity for all Virginians, growing small businesses, supporting immigrants, and improving education and healthcare through increased funding.
